South Wind Golden's was founded in 1987. Since then, I have been breeding show quality Golden
Retrievers with great love and passion. I breed only Golden retrievers. I am dedicated to breeding
sound, quality, stunning looking Golden's with that beautiful, stylish show ring appearance, for your
next family member. I breed for high intelligence, easy trainability. With our puppies having gone
onto make outstanding Therapy dogs. Some of which are used in Paws For People, and Search &
Rescue.
Our puppies are out of direct Champions, or pedigree with solid Champion and working titles. Lineage
with top Show conformation, and working titles from around the world. Bloodlines not easily found in
the US, and lines that are highly sought after.
I blend only the best "non related" pedigree combinations, which produce offspring that have
excellent overall genetic health. Puppies with gentle dispositions, big broad head, full flowing coat,
good bone. They make excellent family pets, with children and other animals.
I have bred the beautiful European Golden retriever for over 14 years. I began researching the
European bloodlines back in 1997, when my husband gave me for Christmas, the book "The Ultimate
Golden Retriever", by Valerie Foss. Upon much extensive research, it was clear that the European
lines were strongly bred, with no close related pedigrees, within their breeding program. I was
extremely impressed with their high health score testing grades relating to hips/elbows. Which were
very promising. I then imported my first European Golden from a top show kennel in Canada. Then
began importing from other countries such as, Belgium, France, and Russia. To date, I am honored to
have such outstanding bloodlines to carry on in the US.
South Wind is also home to "All My Dream In Famous Family". Our stud dog, is an International
Champion with many titles of distinction, shown in several countries. Also a direct son to World
Winner, Dewmist Silk Screen. One of the most titled European Golden's in the world.
